Wellington Free Ambulance, since 1927, has been providing a prompt and professional service for the greater Wellington community.
An Incorporated Society run by its own board of management, WFA is the only recognised free ambulance service in a major New Zealand city. An essential service provider, WFA is committed to providing high quality clinical care in emergency situations, pre-hospital care, rescue and transport services.
It costs over $10 million to run the WFA each year. Approximately 75% of the operational budget is met by Government agencies, with the balance, around $3 million, raised from sponsorship, Local Authority grants, trusts, donations, public appeals and the Service’s own resources.

WFA produces a tri-annual newsletter with a print run of 20,000. These are distributed to donors, stakeholders and members of the public. Your company would be clearly identified as the sponsor of the newsletter with your company name and logo printed along the bottom of each copy.

WFA is always replacing life saving emergency equipment. Recognition for a contribution towards this would be provided through our newsletter, as well as an inscription on the unit itself. In addition a small plaque would be positioned in the ambulance acknowledging your support. Media opportunities would be pursued to provide additional recognition. This could be a one off sponsorship or spread over two or three years.

Postal appeals provide valuable income for WFA - as an appeal sponsor your business name and logo would be represented on appeal material that is distributed to every household in greater Wellington.

Wellington Free Ambulance vehicles provide an excellent opportunity for gaining brand exposure for your business or organisation.
As a vehicle sponsor, your company name would be prominently displayed on one or more ambulance vehicles. These vehicles travel hundreds of thousand of kilometres every year and become effective mobile billboards.
Recognition would be provided through having the name of your organisation on the vehicle clearly visible for everyone in the community to see as well as acknowledgment in our newsletter.
Or, you could ‘adopt an ambulance’ and cover the running costs of an ambulance for one or many years. The level of support provided would dictate the appearance of the branding provided on the ‘adopted ambulance.’
