If you have a clinical background in Emergency Care and a good understanding of Urgent Community Care models, then the opportunity to set up a new service in our iconic not-for-profit Ambulance Service is one that you should seriously consider.
This “leading-edge” initiative is being driven by our Board and Executive Management Team, and recommended by the Government’s recently-released Inquiry into the Provision of Ambulance Services in New Zealand report. Establishing such a model is a radical step-change for Ambulance Services in New Zealand as we move from transporting patients to managing health outcomes.
Your management capability and experience in the pre-hospital environment will be put to good use as you establish and develop relationships with the funders and decision-makers of this new service. You’ll be a strategic thinker who can take this initiative from concept to full implementation, including securing the right people and resources to make it happen.
Our people are passionate about the service they provide to our region, and you will be equally passionate about the difference well-planned and implemented services can make to the community. Remuneration for this role will reflect the importance and impact of this new service.
To apply for these positions, you must be eligible to gain a New Zealand residence or work permit. You can obtain more information from Alan O’Beirne, General Manager Ambulance Services on +64-4 498 0984.
